Day 237_2017 End of Summer

Time waits for no-one and a lot has happened since I last put digital pen to virtual paper.

The studio was out of action for 10 days, a long time in radio due to a Hard Drive failure, this brought home the problems of running a station from home with no reserve for “failsafe or emergency” replacement. it was made more difficult with the failure of the switching unit from studio to the .www meaning total replacement costs of £140 😦

your pennies can be donated here to help keep us running

From the comfort of your own home with an outlay of £150 for the kit you have thje radio and the www. at your disposal, after that running costs for a remote presenter is £1 per week, for as many show you can create *(subject to airtime availability).

The goals for the station currently is funding for the station to stay online and to support its DAB application. this will give AJK a local reach to Beds, Bucks and Herts in the UK. again if you can help with costs, click the link above.

With 27 days left of summer, we count down to our Autumn programming, as the nights draw in in and it gets colder and darker of the evenings, AJK Radio aims to be your listening choice.

From the start of the charts way back in 1952 to the chart of today. AJK has it covered, with specialist shows ‘peppered’ throughout’ the schedule.

Day 85_2017 WAAW

No we’ve not gone off the end of the radio dial.

Today (Monday 27th March) is our second year raising funds for World Autism Awareness Week.

AJK Radio, was launched for the sole purpose of doing thing differently to other stations, from the studio setup, both at the home hub and our new remote voice tracking kit for presenters to broadcast from their safe havens,

Our latest presenter to join is Paul Beavis. Paul does have autism and with AJK Radio’s help he is now online with us and puts a show together for a Wednesday 19:00 broadcast.
